Click “Backup” to create and save a backup configuration to your computer. To use this feature, log into your NAS as an administrator (use the admin account, or a user account belonging to the administrators group) and go to “Control Panel” > “Backup/Restore” and choose “Backup/Restore Settings”. Use the Backup/Restore feature to save your current NAS configuration settings, or to retrieve a previously backed up configuration.

If your NAS has not been rebooted recently, we recommend that you reboot the NAS before updating the firmware.ĭo not interrupt or unplug the NAS during the update process.
